OmniFlows ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the OmniFlows browser extension.

1. Information We Collect

To provide its core functionality and improve our service, OmniFlows handles the following types of data:

• Location: We collect approximate location information (such as IP address, region, and city) through third-party analytics services (Google Analytics). This is used solely to understand our user distribution and optimize service performance. We do NOT collect precise GPS coordinates.
• Website Content: To enable knowledge capture, the extension accesses text, images, and other content on the web pages you visit. This data is only processed when you explicitly choose to "capture" or highlight it. Importantly, all captured research is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage or your connected third-party applications (Notion, Obsidian, Google Drive); OmniFlows does not store any of your captured content on its own servers.
• Web History: We record the URLs and page titles of the websites where you perform captures. This is necessary to provide proper source attribution and context for your research. As with all research data, this information is stored only in your local browser or your own synchronization targets; OmniFlows does not have access to or store your historical browsing data.
• User Activity: We monitor user interactions within the extension and on web pages (such as clicks, scrolling, and usage duration) via Google Analytics. These anonymized statistics help us power features like "Daily Review" and improve the overall user experience; OmniFlows does not store any of your individual behavior data on its own servers.

2. How We Use Information

The data collected is used solely for:

• Allowing you to curate, organize, and highlight personal research.
• Synchronizing your data to your authorized third-party integrations (Notion, Obsidian, Google Drive).
• Improving our service via anonymized usage analytics (identifying popular features or technical issues).
• Generating personal AI-driven insights for your own review.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Integrations

Your research data is yours. OmniFlows does not store your captured content on our own servers. Your data is stored locally in your browser and transmitted directly to the third-party services you explicitly connect (Notion, Obsidian, or Google Drive) via their official APIs.

Usage analytics and approximate location data are processed by Google Analytics according to their standard privacy terms.

4. No Data Selling

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties. Your personal information is never used for advertising, marketing, or profiling by us.

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data during transmission and keep your authentication tokens secure within your browser's local storage.
